“Everything You Need to Know About Music and gaming”

Garry Schyman, one of the most renowned composers for games and guest tutor on our MA in Scoring for Film & Visual Media program, will be giving a special 1-Day Masterclass Workshop entitled ‘Everything You Need to Know About Music and Gaming’.

This event, a collaboration between Pulse College, the Irish Rights Music Organisation and Screen Training Ireland, will take place in Windmill Lane Recording Studios on September 21st.

The content of the workshop includes – Adaptive Music, The Games Industry, Types of Music used in Games, User Interfaces, Gameplay, Cinematics, Stingers, Triggered Entrances, Complex Looping, Layering, Control Input Triggers, Middleware, Hybrid Orchestrations, Budgeting, Getting the Gig, and much more.

Garry’s list of work includes Bioshock, Dante’s Inferno, Middle-ear: Shadow of Mordor.
