This first Pulse College Conference in Visual Culture Studies brings together animators and humanities researchers as they explore the theme of ‘Image and Word’ since 1770.

The event is designed to promote dialogue and collaboration between practicing animators, humanities researchers, and those working in the cultural sector. The objective is to nurture a truly interdisciplinary approach to the field of visual culture studies.

Our panel of experts will explore the relationship between ‘image’ and ‘word’ across a variety of media; from video games to western and eastern animation, and from comic books to museum and library collections.
