There was amazing news for the Irish Film industry this morning following the 88th Academy Awards as young Irish Director, and ’08 Pulse College Alumnus, Ben Cleary picked up the Oscar for Best Live Action Short with his film Stutterer.
Ben, who graduated in 2008 from Pulse College Audio & Music Technology Diploma, wrote, directed and edited Stutterer. What makes this achievement all the more special, is the fact the Stutterer is his first film!

‘Stutterer’ tells the story of how a typographer with a speech impediment finds comfort and connection in an online relationship. Now, however, he is faced with the prospect of meeting his online paramour in the flesh, and revealing the truth about himself.
